Over 20 years ago, Ruby’s in Redondo Beach turned their parking lot into a gearhead’s dream. Now, the Ruby’s Car Show is a staple of Redondo Beach’s weekly ritual. Every week, the cars and motorcycles across the South Bay gather at Ruby’s Diner in Redondo Beach to celebrate the history and culture of the automobile from all eras, all styles, and all walks of life. Starting in 1997, the Car Show started with only a small number of participates, but has since grown into a sprawling event with hundreds of vehicles lining the parking lot. Collectors, connoisseurs, and people who just enjoy cars come together to give the appreciation that these traveling art pieces demand.
Celebrate this classic Redondo tradition with their special event, the 12th Annual Christmas Car Show, this Saturday, December 14th, starting at 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. From the gentle curves of a 1970 Volkswagen Beetle, to the glaring stare of a Plymouth Barracuda, to the elegant beauty of a 50’s Corvette, the Ruby’s Car Show covers all the bases to satisfy the tastes of the car enthusiast, both lowers of two-wheels and four.
